Uncool

 The first section of the chapter titled, "Uncool", shows how the Tobias Wolff feared other people perception of his own self. Wolff and his two friends, Taylor and Silver, were raised without father figures which could be foreshadowing his past and maybe what he had to go through. In the book this boys life Toby becomes a reflection of a typical teen boy. Thinking he's all that and that he's cool when he's actually doing damage to people and things. Which is where the "uncool" factor came in.
