A Whole New Deal

In these few pages we see a different side of Dwight. He is not the kind man that Mom sees. He is rude, mean and all around a guy no one would want to be around. I feel bad for Jack because he was almost forced to go live with Dwight and his family just so he mother could accept their marriage proposal. IN this chapter, Dwight mentions that Jack is a "performer" meaning he acts a different way around his mother than everyone else. I feel that this is irony because in a way, Dwight is also a performer in the way we first saw him a few chapters back. I am anxious to see how Jack's stay with Dwight goes.
