A New Bike

In this next chapter, we run into more men trouble with Jack's mother. While at the pier, they run into Gil and Judd, two men who take instant liking of Jack's mother and will do anything to talk to her. After talking back and forth, Gil and Judd take her back to their house on the shore. Jack, throughout all of this is very skeptical about Gil and Judd. I think that this is going to be another bad man situation for Jack's mother because she is so desperate she will take any man she can get. As the conversation continued, Gill offered to buy Jack a red Raleigh. This was another way to get closer to Ma. Later on, mom went out with Gill and came back crying, we don't exactly know what happened but seems like the "date" did not go well. However, the morning after, Jack had the nerve to ask about the bike again; Which I though was very rude. His relationship with his mother seems to be on and off, good and bad. I don't quite know how he really feels about her and if he even loves her. I guess we will have to find out later in the book.
