This Boy's Life, is related to mine

 So far in the book we see exactly why Toby and his mother leave Florida, because Roy is just, well he's something. We see that Toby kind of likes Roy, but has mixed feelings about him. He knows that Roy has his so called "problems", but Toby also knows that Roy is only using her for sex. He also stalks her multiple times, once with Toby in the Jeep.

    I am confused about the relationship between Toby and Roy. Toby hates him one minute then tells his mom that she needs to stay away from him. I wonder if Mom will leave Roy again.

    I agree on what your saying then again confused . I don't really see Toby liking Roy. Do you ?
