Gun Control

Toby started to show how immature he was and proved his lack of responsibility when giving a lethal weapon's. In the beginning of the book he was giving a bow and decided that it would be fun to shot his friends. He claimed that he did not think of any one getting hurt— I saw this as a foreshadowing moment. One day he was going to shot someone. When he got caught, I believed that he was going to stop aiming weapons at people, but, I was wrong. Later when Roy comes back and gives him a Wind Chester, he started aiming at people: old people, mothers with there baby's in a stroller. He never loaded it but, one day he did and he shot a squirrel— when he is know to be an animal lover. You would think he would stop but he got he grabbed his gun when he left Roy with his mother; proving that there is more to come with his immatureness and knowing how to control his gun.

  1. I agree with this I think at this moment in the book that we see that Toby is to immature and clearly not responsible enough to own a gun at this point in the book

  2. I agree with your post and thoughts because when he shot his friends with the bow it made me think "maybe he is going to kill someone, but who?". I also agree that Jack (Toby) is very immature and should not have this gun until he is older and more mature .
